LR 1

Location

On the lateral side of the dorsum of the terminal phalanx of the great toe, between the lateral corner of the nail and the interphlalangeal joint.

Indication

Freguency of urination, testis swelling, enuresis, irregular menstruation, prolapse of the uterus, epilepsy.

Notes

Spreads the adversed qi, regulates lower energizer.

LR 2

Location

On the dorsum of the foot between the first and second toe, proximal to the margin of the web.

Indication

Plantar pain, excessive menstruation, painful urination, headache dizziness and vertigo, congestion, deviation of the mouth, hernia, retention of urine, epilepsy, insomnia, convulsion.

Notes

Drains liver-fire, cools blood-heat, clears lower body

LR 3

Location

On the dorsum of the foot, in the depression distal to the junction of the first and second metatarsal bones.

Indication

Headach, dizziness and vertigo, insomnia, congestion, swelling and pain of the eye, depression, infantile convulsion, deviation of the mouth, pain in the hypochondriac region, uterine bleeding.

Notes

 

LR 4

Location

1 cun anterior to the medial malleolus, midway between Sp 5 and S 41, in the depression on the medial side of the tendon of m. tibialis anterior.

Indication

Pain in the external genitalia, lower back pain, dizziness, nocturnal emission, dysuria, distending pain in the hypochondrium.

Notes

 

LR 5

Location

5 cun above the tip of the medial malleolus, on the medial aspect and near the medial border of the tibia.

Indication

Lower abdominal swelling, enuresis, dysuria, irregular menstruation, leukorrhea, soarness and weaknes of the leg.

LR 6

Location

7 cun above the tip of the medial malleolus, on the medial aspect and near the medial border of the tibia.

Indication

Lower abdominal pain, hypochondriac pain, uterine bleeding, prolonged lochia.

LR 7

Location

Posterior and inferior to the medial condyle of the tibia, in the upper portion of the medial head of m. gastrocnemius, 1 cun posterior to SP 9.

Indication

Medial knee pain, sore throat.

Notes

 

LR 8

Location

When knee is flexed, the point is in the depression above the medial end of the transverse popliteal crease, posterior to the medial epicondyle of the femur, on the anterior part of the insertion of m. semimembranosus and m. semitendinosus.

Indication

Prolapse of uterus, lower abdominal pain, retention of urine, nocturnal emission, pain in the external genitalia.

Notes

Clears damp-heat, drains liver-fire, helps urinary bladder.

LR 9

Location

Four cun above the medial epicondyle of the femur, between m. vastus medialis and m. sartorius.

Indication

Lumbosacral pain radiating to lower abdominal resion, enuresis, retention of urine, irregular menstruation.

Notes

 

LR 10

Location

Three cun directly below ST 30 on the lateral border of m. abductor longus.

Indication

Pain in medial thigh, lower abdominal distension and fullness, retention of urine due to fever.

Notes

 

LR 11

Location

Two cun directly below ST 30 on the lateral border of m. abductor longus.

Indication

Irregular menstruation, leukorrhea, lower abdominal pain, pain in the thigh and leg.

Notes

 

LR 12

Location

Inferior and lateral to the pubic spine, 2.5 lateral to the Ren meridian, at the inguinal groove lateral and inferior to ST 30.

Indication

Lower abdominal pain, hernia of uterus, pain in the external genitalia.

Notes

 

LR 13

Location

On the lateral side of the abdomen, below the free end of the eleventh floating rib.

Indication

Abdominal distension, borborygmus, pain in the hypochondriac region, vomiting, diarrhea, indigestion.

Notes

Dispersea cold from five visceras, removes accumulation from middle body, eliminates phlegm stasis.
